"So, i heard that he'll be starring in Flying Tiger Heroes by John Woo. Well, I hope it's a somewhat substantial role because he truly needs more experience outside of Supernatural. Don't get me wrong, I love this show. However, an actor is shaped by the roles he goes through and doing everything from 1 genre alone doesn't really work to his benefit. :P

I wasn't aware of Supernatural or Jared when I saw Friday the 13th (I know I must have been living under a rock this whole time) I was brought to the movie, grudgingly, by my friends. I got what I expected out of the overall movie that I was not impressed by it and thought the cheap tricks of using way too much gore and nudity to draw in the stereotypical guy was pretty corny and distasteful. In retrospect, how they managed to have so much nudity form the girls and then leave Jared fully clothed most of the time is amazing seeing as if he would have had more shirtless time then the stereotypical girls would have been out to the movie in droves as well. Oh well, untapped gold mines I guess. Anyway, I disliked the movie overall. I like more mentally stimulating movies and I don't get that freaked out by horror movies and especially not the Jason Voorhees type of monsters. I was pleasantly surprised to have Jared on screen though. Like I said, I was unfamiliar with his other work and I thought that even with such a basic character in a movie that was very cliche to me, I found myself identifying with Clay (his character) and genuinely feeling for his troubles. It says a lot that I was actually nervous about Clay possibly getting hurt and killed in the movie even after so many others had died and the only thing to touch me at those times was mock surprise. Even the friends that dragged me there were more amused by my reactions of "Oh surprise surprise, she got cut up." and they teased me endlessly about my "love" for the movie afterward. Jared made this movie noticeable to me. If not for his acting in it then I would have undoubtedly thrown this movie into the "repressed memories" bin. I hope he had fun acting in it and I'm glad he's got a big budget movie under his belt. He deserves a lot more from the business seeing as his talents are exceptional and he is capable of bringing a character to life.

Sounds like a sweet movie! I've always loved Chritmas movies and this one went straight to the top of my must-see movies for the holidays :D

I went to check it out on IMDb, says there its official name is Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas - a lousy, too long name if you ask me :D
