A Guide to Hunting
In the Supernatural-verse, there are some who believe they have what it takes to be professional hunters of the supernatural! It's a tough and lonely life, usually ended young. But those who succeed (like Sam and Dean Winchester and their mentor Bobby Singer) can usually fight off everything that goes bump in the night. Here is just some of what they need to know!
Equipment
You have to have the essential equipment or else the thing that you are fighting will get away with possibly your life. All hunters know to use holy water, it is water that has been blessed and is holy so that if a demon is close by you can get it away so you can perform an exorcism to make the demon exit the person that it is using. Another main tool that they use is Rock Salt. Rock salt keeps demons away, no demon can get past it. Most hunters would use it to make a blockade at the entrances of their houses also in doorways and on window ledges. It is one of the only things that demons cannot touch or handle. They can also never handle anything holy including crosses. They also flinch at the word "christo" which is Christ in Latin. All hunters know how to use a E.M.F. meter which measures electromagnetic fields given off by a spirit or ghost. Unfortunately, it will also react to EMF given off by electrical devices, bad wiring, power lines and wireless devices like cell phones. Ghosts are usually suspected if an EMF reading spikes unexpectedly, then drops in the same area, or keeps moving around.
Spirits
Spirits are the trapped souls of the departed. Some are just confused or don't know they are dead. Others mean no harm. They might be trapped on earth because they might have been murdered and won't rest until their killers are caught. But some are Vengeful Spirits. They try to harm people who had soemthing to do with their demise, or even those who had nothing to do with the reason they died.
To get rid of a spirit you might have to burn and salt the bones or the remains of the body. If it is still not gone then you need to find the killer of the person and get that person in jail for the spirit to be at rest. When you go through all of that, you have overcome a spirit.
Djinn
A djinn is a fire demon and is very hard to defeat, mainly because it captures you and feeds off of your life force. Djins can only be killed by stabbing them with a silver knife dipped in lamb blood.
Demons
Demons are bad spirits that have been sent to hell and are hellbent on causing death, mayhem, and destruction. They can be injured with holy water and exorcisms from the Romani Romanorum--a book in Latin dedicated to vanquishing demons.....Sam and Dean get their chants from this book.
Pentagram
A pentagram is a 5-pointed star that represents the 5 elements--earth, water, spirit, fire, wind. Used for protection and witches back in the olden days. Its what the wiccans worshiped mostly other than the lord and lady.

A sensitive digital air thermometer is helpful in taking the temperature because when a spirit is close the temperature drops by five to ten degrees.

Things have been happening lately that i dont understand. Things move, fall and break on their own but only wen i glance at them which is right when it happens. I sometimes see things like shadows as plain as day in pitch black darkness. I get this huge headahces and in my mind i see non-real deaths happening including my own. Almost everything has been falling apart around me, i'm like a curse. Please help me figure out whats happening. I am scared that one day someone will get hurt and it could be my fault.

okay so my house is haunted. We have had a priest prefrom an exsorisim but that made every thing worse. In my room there is a ghost of a young girl. She just likes to mess around with you like if you put your drink down and turn around for a second your cup is on the other side of the room. I hear a childs laugh and my lil sis shares a room with me and I came home from school one day and my sis (who is like 6) was sitting on her bed talking to someone. I walked in and asked her who she was talking to. She told me she was talking to Emily who was a little girl who died here from smallpox back in the victoreian age. Then stange things started to happen. I come from a catholic family and we have crosses everywhere one day my mom was makeing dinner and I was on the computer. I suddenly got sick to my stomach and I went into the kitchen to tell my mom. When I went in she was stareing at the wall I looked at what she was stareing at. the cross in the kitchen was turned upside down. My lil bro came in and said that all of the crosses where like that. So we called a medium who said their where a total of 3 ghosts in my house a 7 year old girl named emily, a women named mary who is 28. And an Evil spirit who calls himself Lucus. She said he was a demon who was plainly up to no good and told us to leave the house. My dad is to stubberon to leave. So as a result My 13 yearold brother was hopstalized after a bike accident. I was hopstized with a sezurie (my mom thought I was possessed). My 8 year old bro was hosptized because he got a severe case of pneomia. And my 6 year old sis had to get 13 stiches because a "freak accident" made a tree branch go though our window and the glass tore her up. So yeah this Evil Spirt is picking on us kids my lil sis is so freaked out so I drew the key of slolman under he bed and my own. So thank god for Supernatural or I wouldn't know what to. But my honset opion salt and burn the house and we should move you guys agree with me?
