Dean's SurpriseThis is a featured page

Sam had everything set up. He was waiting for Dean to come in right through the door. “Why is he taking so long?” thought Sam.

To keep his mind out of the waiting, Sam started to remember the time Dean helped him to find a small action figure that he lost when he was little.

“Please Sammy don’t cry. I will find it. Promise me you will not cry anymore,” said a ten-year-old Dean.

“I won’t,” replied a six-year-old Sam.

“Do you remember the last time you saw it?” asked Dean.

Sam lowered his head, “I went outside for a moment, while you were out.”

“How many times I’ve told you not to leave the room?”

“I’m sorry Dean, I didn’t mean to,” little Sam started to cry again.

“Please, not more crying you promised me.” Dean tried to comfort his little brother.

“Just stay here while I go outside to look for your toy okay?” Dean ordered Sam.

Dean put his jacket, and opened the door. Outside, it rained and it was very muddy, Dean sighed and went out to look for Sam’s toy.

Dean looked everywhere, but the rain and the mud made the task very hard. Sam was at the window waiting for his older brother to come back.

“Where is that damn toy?” Dean asked to himself. For a moment, Dean saw a shadow, he felt uneasy and cold. Dean turned, and he saw a woman standing in the middle of the rain holding something in her hand.

“Who are you?” asked Dean a little scared.

The woman left the object on the ground and disappeared. Dean approached to the place where the object was to find out it was Sam’s action figure.

Inside the motel room, Sam was still at the window when he saw Dean; he ran toward the door and opened it.

Dean was dripping when he entered, Sam closed the door.

“Here, I found it.” Dean gave the toy to Sam.

“Thanks Dean! I was worried for a moment about you, but I saw that lady and I knew you were all right,” said Sam.

“You saw her too?”

“Who was her?” asked Sam while he was playing on the floor.

Dean took a moment to take his jacket off, and he said “she looked like Mom.”

The room’s door opened, and Sam was back to present time.

“Surprise!” said Sam.

“What’s this?” asked a very surprised Dean when he saw a pie on the table with a candle on it.

“It’s your birthday Dean,” stated Sam as he lighted up the candle.

“Yeah, I know, but we never celebrate birthdays before.” Dean sat on the couch still amazed by the surprise.

“This one it’s especial, you know… I just grateful you’re here, because…” Sam could not find the words to keep going.

“Well, what are we waiting for?” Dean grabbed the knife and cut the pie, he gave a piece to Sam and he served one for himself. Both sat and ate together.
