Actors Bio: Cassidy was born in Los Angeles,
California, daughter of '70s pop idol David Cassidy and former model Sherry Benedon; the two had an "on-again, off-again" relationship during the 1970's-1980s, resulting in Katie's birth, 15 years after first meeting. Cassidy's paternal grandparents were actors Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward. She grew up in Calabasas, California with her mother and stepfather, Richard Benedon, an ER physician, whom she considers her father. She has two older sisters, Jenna and Jaime. As a child, Cassidy took to tumbling and eventually became a cheerleader for the California Flyers, a competitive team. She cheered as a freshman for Calabasas High School where she attended classes and graduated in 2005. As a child, Cassidy became interested in show business. She is known for her incredibly good looks and artistic talent.

Career

Cassidy started community theater when she was in elementary school. She modeled for Abercrombie and Fitch and Rock and Republic's line in 2004. Modeling helped open the door to Cassidy's acting career. Her mother, Sherry, would not allow Katie to act professionally until completeing her high school education. After high school Katie was planning to attend NYU's Tisch School of Performing Arts, but landed a number of jobs, including a recurring role as Zoe on 7th Heaven. Following that, she guest starred in the one-hour drama, Sex, Love and Secrets but the series was cancelled after a few episodes. Her 2006 projects included a small role in the horror remake When A Stranger Calls and Click with Adam Sandler. She has also starred in another horror remake, the murderous Christmas classic Black Christmas. She has worked on waiting for release.
She was filming scenes at a college for the movie Revenge of the Nerds but production was halted when Agnes Scott College backed out of its agreement. It eventually stopped the filming and production and the movie has been cancelled. She completed filming in Paris where Katie worked on a film called "Taken" with Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace. She is scheduled to star in the remake of the hit television series Dallas as Lucy Ewing beating out Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson. Filming for Dallas is scheduled to begin sometime in 2008. Cassidy has also landed a leading role on The CW Supernatural Television Drama, Supernatural. She is currently filming Supernatural in Canada until April 2008.

Kripke let Katie go he said that he can't afford to keep her on the show. nope this is not happening I'll donate money to kripke. ugh I hate it when he does this brings a new charter in gets you to know them then just rips them out. sorry angry rant. Is there any way she could come back. Because he did say that Ruby would be returning but they can do what they did in s3 have her come and go.

Jared's adorable. He's handsome and funny and he's got such a great personality. He has such a cute smile and his teeth are so freaking white! He lights up when he smiles. He's also a dork, but I love that- it makes him that much more sexy. Randomly he'll make farting noises and pretend it's coming from me. And he imitates me by doing this spidery walk, because I have really long legs. But he does it in such a loving way that I can't get mad at him. He knows he's cute. He's always doing these sexy looks into the camera, and we make fun of him for it. Jared goes with the flow and is very relaxed.
