Season Five Theories

| fierce_huntress | I think that Sam and Dean will be entirely occupied throughtout the season with pursuing Lucifer. Dean will find out what makes him so special, while Sam will continue to fight his demon blood addiction. There will be a big war, we'll be seeing lots of fights and more angels and demons. Something will happen with Bobby, perhaps he may turn out to be Sam and Dean's blood relative? John's brother? |
| SuperZu | I think we'll get some interesting commentary about religion, ala Kevin Smith's DOGMA. One thing that I think may happen is that Dean and Sam will question -- at least a little -- whether Lucifer is wrong and deserves to be "put down." The hunters will unite, but I think there will be some interesting disagreements among them too! |

Every season needs an antagonist. Season 1 was they're dad- proving to him that not only they need to stick together but are stronger together. Despite what their dad thought. Season two was yellow eyes and Lillith took that role. Now its Lucifer for season 5. What you need to look at is the story ARC of each season. Season 1 was the boys reuniting and learning that they are an unstoppable force together. Season 2 was learning to grow up and finish they're families unfinish business, Season 3 was fighting the typical Hunter's life, taking control of their own lives, Season 4 was where they learned how far they could go to stop evil regardless of the consequences. Season 5 will be about them taking control of their own lives again, but also proving everybody wrong

When Dean vowed to serve God and his angels didn't that make him a prophet of some kind? If so, Lucifer may not be able to kill him. I think Sam & Dean will unite to kill Lucifer. Let's face it...every season the boys are looking for someone. In season 1 it was their daddy. Season 2, yellow eyes. Season 3, Lilith. Season 4 still Lilith...Looks like a pattern, right?
