Another VS thread! \O/ Yes1 It's one of THOSE threads.
So my friend and I got into an argument on which Demon would win a fight.
The two Demons are Alastair (Christopher Heyerdahl)and Abaddon. I said to her that Alastair overall was much more stronger and powerful than Abaddon.
Don't get me wrong! I love both Demons! But Alastair to me, is much more stronger (And bad ass). What are your thoughts Feel free to post their powers and all!

I'd like some advice..
I'm doing a media studies project for school. I planning on filming the beginning of the midnight game. What I need advice on is, how can I film this without actually summoning the midnight man or making him angry. I understand this game is mainly mind tricks but the last thing I want to do is preform this ritual without realising i've opened myself up to bringing demons into my house/life. I want to know if we pray or anything like that before hand if we can protect ourselves?

What is a demon?
I can see how they operate and what they do, but where do they come from?
What created them and why? How do they get to Earth?
Those a probably newb questions but wiki's are for getting information right.

Demon eyes: what they signify.
I'm new here so I'm sure this has already been discussed to death in another thread, but I would like to share an idea I stumbled upon regarding the significance of Demons and their varying eye colours. Originally, I figured demons had different coloured eyes purely for artistic value, but as I got into the third season (still waiting for Season 4 to be released in the UK) it became painfully obvious that certain demons had certain eyes depending on their past. So... I came up with this:
Black-Eyed Demons
>Generic demon.
>Powerful, but can be harmed by holy artifacts and rituals.
>Were once humans sent to Hell who succumbed to sadism and inhumanity.
White-Eyed Demons
>Rare demon.
>Very powerful, cannot be harmed by holy artifacts or rituals (or even Ruby's knife).
>Were once Angels who fell from grace and joined Lucifer's legions in Hell.
This would explain the hierarchy and difference in abilities between the White and Black Eyes.
There are also:
Red-Eyed Demons
>Uncommon.
>Slippery, but vulnerable to the same degree as Black-Eyed demons.
>Can grant wishes and revive the dead at the cost of a person's soul.
>Their origins are a mystery, but likely the same as Black-Eyed demons.
The only ones who do not abide by these classifications are Samhain and Azazel.
Just my musings. Don't give it any thought if I've touched upon a stale subject.

The "Devils Trap"
Actually this is 'The Great/Grand Pentacle' and is used to control spirits, not to capture demons.
The Devils Trap used in the show are actually two pentacles in one: 'The Great/Grand Pentacle' and the fifth pentacle of Mars.
The fifth pentacle of Mars is actually not originally a Devils Trap: "It is terrible onto demons and at its sight they will obey thee, for they cannot resists its presence".

You say that it's possible that the demon that possessed Duane Tanner is the same one who possessed Tom, but that's impossible because the demon who possessed Tom is dead. Dean shot him with the Colt in Devil's Trap.

To tell you the truth I hope that sam defeats lillith and takes his place as the leader of the demonic world. or at least kills lillith I can never forgive her for killing Dean. :)
