Season Five.

Ever since Eric Kripke stated that he had a five-year plan for the show, the subject has been in all of the fans' minds. Personally, I think that the show will go one quite longer than that (my hypothosis is until season seven) beacause the thing I constantly keep in mind is that Kripke also stated more than a few times that there wouldn't be Angels featured on the show and as we all know, this current season saw the introduction of Angels.

What do you guys think? Do you think the show will go on longer than next season or end there at it's fifth season?

I think it depends on several things such as how the story developes, whether or not they feel they can get another one or two good seasons out of it, what the actors think of staying on longer and whether or not the fan base is still as strong (or more so) at the end of the fifth season.
I'd rather see it come to an end, though, than to see it jump the shark.

I'd like to see it go on longer because it has a extensive plot, a large amount of supporting characters and the show has made enough of a universe for itself to go into more expanded supernatural mythology and lore.

I think that if the rest of this season and next season do as well as it has this passed year, then a sixth season would definatley be in order. I feel that if the show ends at season seven, it would be perfect to end on the "high note" which Eric Kripke has numerously metioned because after the seventh season of a series is usually where it begins to loose it's stride. Smallville is a good example (although it's been pretty good this season).lol.

Well, to tell you the truth, I'm just glad that there is a show like this! Because Supernatural totally rocks! :D

But, it would be kind off sad if there would be only five seasons! I hope that the creator of this show will have enough of inspiration to continue further! :)

I think the same way. Honestly, I don't want supernatural to end, it's the only show I actually really really liked!

But then, If making more seasons means making supernatural commercialized and propping it up just for the sake of getting an audience, then I want Supernatural to end.

The show is just to good to get ruined, I want to remember it in a good way, not as a show that started out great but got worse.

I agree with everyone that it would be great if the show went on for as many seasons as it can stay as AWESOME as it is now. It's apparent from the posts, though, that none of us want to see it continue if it just gets bad because the "minds behind" run out of decent material. Hey, that happens...

Another thing to consider is the careers of all the talent involved. Just to give one example, I'd absolutely love to see Jensen make some movies...and better ones than he's been in so far! I think he has talent that hasn't even been tapped yet!

Anyway, that's my 2 cents... :)

This is the first series EVER that has not lost my interest after Season 2.

Like everyone else, as long as the story lines stay compelling, keep it coming. I do think though, you gotta run out of creative juice at some stage.

If they are going to end on a series high, though, doing so after saving the world from Armageddon would be it.

i think that there is a huge possibility that this will be the last season :( and they're trying to space it out and make it as enjoyable as they can. i also believe the only reason Kripke put angels in the sesons after he said that he wouldn't would be because he and the other writers are runing out of ideas to make episodes out of.

Maybe if all the fans mail Kripke about different supernatural being that they haven't used already there could be a possibility that the show could go on for another season after this..but they would need alot.

I hope that the show continues for as long as it can. there have been several shows that have gone on for 8, 10 years and been great to the end. It depends on the writers, however there are a lot of ideas that are on the blogs on this site due to its great fans. Do you find this valuable?
