Kripke sticking to his guns

OK, so the Kripkeeper is still saying he's ending this season with a bang (which is good). But it's sounding like he may not be involved if the show's renewed for a season 6 (which is not so good). Maybe some other good writers will keep it going with a new storyline...but I'm not holding out great hopes if he's not involved. :( If that happens, maybe the boys just need to go off and make more movies. :)

I'm holding on hope that we will get a season 6 b/c the boys are signed in for one. But if they aren't going to give all they got for the boys then I'll be happy with a awesome season 5.

Yup, J2 are in for 6 years, as long as the show is renewed. It'll be interesting to see what happens...whether someone picks up the ball and comes up with a good continuing story, or maybe the Kripkeeper will change his mind (I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope...) because you're so right--it would NOT be the same without him!

Gee I have no opinion, do I?

Not really sure about this...I agree if the Kripkeeper goes the show'll never be the same again. It'd be like Constance Burge leaving Charmed all over again. So I do hope that Kripke will stay for another season beacause, honestly, if anyone can come up with a new storyline that won't tear the show apart, it's him. Do you find this valuable?

I agree that I want to see a season six, but at the same time, I want Kripke a part of it. If he's not there I think that the show would suffer because it's really his vision and story to tell. If that is the final story that he wants to tell maybe the CW shouldn't renew it because I'd much ratehr have the show end on Kripke's terms and, gee, ACTUALLy end and not leave us with some lame cliffhanger ending with no resolution. I completly understand that it wouldn't be the same without Kripke, but we would have another season of supernatural! as long as the next writer doesn't change everything about the show then i would be okay with it. maybe this season ends with lucifer dead and next season Sam goes completly evil and has his own way of bringing on the apocolypse and Dean and his newest sidekick Joe, maybe, hunt Sam down and Sam and Dean both die in the end. That would be one of my ideal endings and as long as the new writer doesn't change the whole story line then i would be completly ok with it wether or not Kripke writes it Do you find this valuable?

That's a quite a scenario! lol!
IMAO, I think the show will only continue to work if the brothers are together. Kripke mentioned at one point (somewhere, sometime...can't recall when) that he imagines that, even if they stop the apocalypse, the world would not be magically cleansed -- there would still and always be all kinds of nasty things around for the Winchesters to hunt. So, I can imagine something like that happening and the "post-apocalyptic" hunters, full of new knowledge, continuing their never-ending fight in future seasons

There's all kinds of lovely lore left to explore! (ha ha, I'm a poet...)

New, different hunters? No! It would still be Sam and Dean, fresh from the fight of their lives, with all new skills and knowledge! :) Do you find this valuable?

I desperately hope that Kripkeeper stays on for a sixth season. I certainly am not ready to let the show go yet and it wouldn't be the same without him... But really I just can't see the Apocalypse being done justice in a single season! I'm mean come on! Covering the end of the world in 22 episodes? If anyone could do it I guess Kripke could, but that wouldn't mean I'd be happy about loosing new episodes with the boys. I reserve judgment until closer to the end of the season. this is just an idea and i don't know if it would be too hard to do but maybe we could make a petition? maybe it's too much trouble for just one season and we might be trying to make him do something he doesn't want to but why not?
