WoW! That's all I can say about this episode! Just WOW! Also, Cas is hilarious! "Dean the voice on the phone is saying I'm running out of minutes". LMAO! Just great.....freakin' great. Also, so happy the boy's back together, and I'm really looking forward to next weeks episode. I want some regular monster hunting with the boys. Everything has been so serious. We need some light heartedness. Do you find this valuable?

i agree! it was such an amazing episode! Cas is so much funnier as a human, more like Misha, but i do still like our Castiel as he is now.. dont know why, just do. i wasnt liking the future Dean. i can deal with the bad-assness but the sacrificing of the friends, nope that made me mad! that was as far away from Dean as he could have gotten.
you know? Jared plays a REALLY good Lucifer lol. and he still had the puppy eyes, which i definitely enjoyed! =P

ya, even Deans sarcasm is having difficulty lightening up the mood these days!

cant wait till next week!

It was everything I had hoped for and more! I'm so glad Cas was able to get dean away from Zach before anything could really go down. I guess his plan of letting Dean see the future in the hopes that he would allow Michael to possess him backfired. Do you find this valuable?

"So, Sammy ... nice car! Lincoln Continental pimp mobile!"
LMAO! I was looking at his car and was like wth. Where he get that! Sam u need to get back with Dean if anything so u can ride in style.

O, I was watching the episode Death Takes a Holiday and Alistair mentions one of the Four Horsemen. Alistair has a Scythe that he uses to try and kill the reapers, and Dean tells him "That's a little on the nose, Don't you think?". Referring to the Scythe. Alistair responds..."Is it? An old friend lent it to me. You know he really doesn't ride a pale horse? But he does have 3 amigos. A man really joansen for the apocalypse.". Death is the Horsemen that rides the pale horse. Now I'm pretty sure some of y'all caught that already but I just put two and two together. A little slow I know. I think it's cool how they were foreshadowing the appearance of the Horsemen in season 4. Also, according to scripture God summons and empowers the Horsemen in order to wreck Divine Havoc upon the world. I would think they reside in Heaven; so, how is Alistair cool with Death. On the other hand if he is cool with any Horsemen I could see it being Death. Anyway I'm really looking into this too much. I tend to do that when it's about SPN.

OMG! This was one of the best episodes ever! The boys were awesome in their roles, it was just perfect, because, in the end, they were reunited! Not to meantion seeing Cas as a human and all his sadness and imperfections, seeing Dean go down that dark road and Sam as Lucifer...it was amazing. I loved that Dean thought his future self was a dick and he wants to change that, he totally nailed with those words...we keep each other human! Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, Dean calling his future self a dick was classic!

HATS OFF to the writers! Ben Edlund's pedestal just got a little higher.

Both J's did such an awesome acting job ... I mean the two Deans were different people -- and you could feel the pain that created the hardened and desperate shell of the future (not easy playing opposite yourself!) -- applause for Jensen's grasp of subtleties. And, man, Jared's delivery as Lucifer was mind-blowing!

It was totally classic SPN!

They were truly amazing as actors the other night...why they and this shows writers don't get more attention is beyond me. I guess it's just a niche type of show that people don't hear about or see because regular reviewers for TV are busy doing the major networks.

Wow, Squeeeee !!!! And all other manner of highly excited noises.

As I was watching I thought "I bet all the Dean girls from here are happy. A double dose of Dean." Hehehe.

Once again, while I kind of knew what was coming and had seen the shorts, I found myself quite emotive when Dean was saying to Sam they should stay apart. It was so sad. The Winchester boys belong together, working side by side. I had thought that Sam would give Dean a hug and Dean make a wise crack when they met up.

Lots of 'moments' I liked, in particular Chuck talking to 2009 Dean. They are off to kill Lucifer and Chuck encourages Dean to hoard toilet paper for the Apocolyse. That cracked me up !!

Zachariah seemed softer, almost pleading. I hope the angels realise that they have gone about things the wrong way.

And Cas !!! I prefer 2009 Cas, though it was great to see him as a stoner.

So YAY, the boys are back together. Bring on next week.

Future Cas is the coolest "person" ever. The whole episode was AWESOME, but Cas was the best part. As everyone can see from my profile, Cas is my favorite, but he reached a whole new level of freaking SWEET!

sam's acting was very well done but you guys make it sound like he is the god of acting. And were dean and future dean two diff. people? they never were on scene at the same time, yet they looked a bit diff (aside from the future part). Plus can anyone tell me what sam/lucifer said to dean before dean says he is just an uglier version of the crap he's been hunting his whole life? Do you find this valuable?

"... can anyone tell me what sam/lucifer said to dean before dean says he is just an uglier version of the crap he's been hunting his whole life?"
It's on the Quotes page for the episode, but basically, he just says, "What am I?" after Dean days "I know what you are."

If you mean earlier than that, well, Lucifer is telling the story of his fall from grace and ending with "Now, tell me, does the punishment fit the crime? Especially when I was right." That was delivered beautifully, showing how Lucifer is all "woe is me, I'm so innocent" but then falling back on "I'm still right and want revenge," HA!

This episode really was awesome. I caught myself holding my breath several times -- and I finally could breathe easy for good when, talking to Zach, Dean said a final "Nah" to becoming Michael's vessel, and that he'd learned a different lesson -- when he said that, I KNEW he was going to call Sam! (such a relief)

I totally agree, DaBzNeez & WiddleShamrock, that a more lighthearted epi will be a good respite. Geez, I've been bordering on a heart attack or aneurism for a few weeks now ... need some full-on goofy fun! :)

What I loved about Cas was the difference between him in Free to be you and me and this one.

In FTBYAM, he was petrified of the woman, his eyes were so wide in terror, it was hilarious. Cas 2014 was like a little boy in the candy shop. Did you see his face as he told the girls to get ready for the orgy. It was so funny.
