Whoa! So are we to assume that Sam and Dean got the ring from Pestilence? The previews showed only Death and said one down, one to go. And wow, did Sam get all bad-ass in this one.. It's like they're trying to push Sam to the edge like they did with Dean, now that they've pulled Dean back a bit.Next week's epi looks.., well, 'supernatural'! Do you find this valuable? |

And what happened to Cas in this episode? I'm very disappointed that he wasn't there! And the cliffhanger with Bobby.. I think he'll do it..

Well, erm....I'm just building up my mental constitution because I know that two episodes is waaay to little to cover this mother-lode of INTENSE.Awesome episode, too short really cuz i would have liked more depth to Sam's reactions....and Dean's. I think its safe to say that the show has an intent on specifically *not* focusing on Sam and Dean these past few episodes. Crowley becoming the protagonist today, Gabriel yesterday(well, last week). I'm speculating that the reason is because the finale is going to have a buttload of twist, one we didn't see coming becasue we haven't known what our boys have been thinking for the past few adventures. THeres going to be a plan. We're going to think the boys have it down pat (with a few new allies perhaps?) and then Sam(most likely, but Dean is fair game-his turnaround was rather sudden) is going to do something totally satanic. I mean, come on, i really want to have faith in Sam, but that face he wore today whenever Pestilence's stable boy was around....oh, well I haven't seen that type of rage since Ruby was around, and I'm telling ya, its going to fester and bite 'em all in the ass. The ending scene, with Dean standing while Sam walks away into the dark, I can't help but feel the truth in Stable Boy's words. Dean felt it too, and the ending silence was downright turbulent angst and suspicion. Amusing episode, though I can't help but feel they're trying to turn it down for the finale. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Still, they did make it look like they already got Pestilence's ring, which will make me angry because they've showed all the other horseman to this point. Not to mention we have the Croatoan Virus that's being put in a vaccine. Just because they killed Brady doesn't mean they stopped production. I see that as being a problem. The episode was GREAT. Crowley is my favorite Demon. I love Marc Sheppard though. He guest starred in Firefly and let's not forget about Leverage. Well done Supernatural guys! Cheers to you on picking a great Crowley! ohmygosh... OHMYGOSH OH.MY.GOSHCan I say that any louder?????????? I think not... I do NOT trust Crowley one bit. He has something planned. Everyone thought Ruby was nice... we all remember how that went down... Sam kept his cool so well in this episode. For one moment he lost it, but he calmed down. Yay Sammy <3 Dean... Dean... Dean... You got REALLY mad when Sam was with Ruby, and you go off with Crowley?! I think Crowley is working with Lucifer. Hmmm? Bobby should not sell his soul to Crowley... even if he promised to 'give it back' Bull. Do you find this valuable? |

Bobby had the best line " I'm gonna fill you so full of rock salt your gonna crap margueritas"... awesome ! I think that Sam needed to show control, because of the conversation he had with Bobby earlier, so he can jump into the cage, dont know how they will pull him out, but thats what I think hooah. Um, I don't quite know what to say about this episode. To me, it was a bit disjointed -- in itself and from the overall story of late. First, where the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is Cas and why did no one even mention him??? At least, "I hope he's OK, wherever he is." Second, third and fourth, what's with the ping-pong role reversals? Last week, Dean was coming off not trusting Sam, and some of that did surface, but then he was all quiet and didn't get all up in Sam's face when he thought Sam had done something stupid. And last week Sam was super- controlled and very reasonable, and now he goes dark-side so easily this week? Yes, I KNOW losing Jess was huge, but he seemed to have matured so much lately ... anyway. (Sam was SCARY this week.) And what the #*^&% is up with Sam even THINKING about saying YES, and Bobby even THINKING about letting Crowley have his soul!!! OK, OK -- desperate times -- but sheesh! Then there were the abruptly disappearing story lines. Why did we not see Pestilence? What's up with the shots they're developing? Who sent the hell hound (and come on, just ONE?!) and then gave up? LOL, I'm RANTING! It was OK, but it left me very frustrated. Since we're so close to the end of the season, it's not a way I wanna be feeling! XD Do you find this valuable? |

I'll just say it was an AWESOME EPISODE! I enjoyed it!But SuperZu you were right, it was a bit jumbled, but for me at least in a good way. But I still need to re-watch, and then I'll come back here later and review. The only thing that ticked me off is NO mention whatsoever of Cas! And no appearance! That sigil must have hurt him bad since he's not around yet :( Do you find this valuable? |

Hellhound fight! That was the most intense thing I've NEVER seen! I felt for Dean so much. It must have been one heck of a dejavu!!!!! ( just watched it and my heart is STILL pounding!)I agree with what everyone has said so far, but I think all round it was a great ep. Seeing Sam cool his heels was good, he does have restraint! I will have to watch it again from another angle to get the whole picture. Loved Bobby's "margarita" line! and I missed Cas too! Do you find this valuable? |

I think that the episode was great.Sam was the best. I think that what Brady said hit close to home. I love to see Sam take charge every once in a while. i liked what Crowley said when they were under the street light. I think when Sam found out about what Brady did to Jess, Sam finally got revenge on the demon. So to see him lose control even for a min was the best. I don't TRUST CROWLEY not for a second. After what happen with Ruby how can either boys trust him. I hope Bobby doesn't sell his soul. Both Horsemen will be in the season finale, not just Death. I think that Cass will be back for season finale.

" Both Horsemen will be in the season finale, not just Death. I think that Cass will be back for season finale."How can they still be fighting horsemen in the season finale? So far it's taken an episode to kill one horseman. It's got to take at least an episode to trick Luci back into the pit. that's an extra 2 episodes the season doesn't have. I thought it was a really good episode. I think that a lot of the aspects that we learned and saw were more subtle then the previous episodes, which might be why some people didn't like it as well. However, I thought it was a great way to build suspense and gear up before the last few episodes. I really can't wait after all this, seeing Death and the boys having to face him and what Sam's and Bobby's choices will be...and not forgetting Adam and Cas and Micheal all in the mix too! Should be fascinating. I must say, the Crowley demon is one that I really love to hate. He is excellent in the role as the questionable adviser. The only thing I might quibble with is that we don't look like we'll get to see Pestilence's death, but then again, maybe we'll see some of that in the next episode. Can't wait for more!

After re-watching, I need to say it's one of the best Supernatural episodes this season. For one, Crowely was written very well- he was amusing, but downright evil at the same time, and he even wasn't coy about it. Of course somehting was up with him offering a deal to Bobby. Yeah right he'll give his soul back, I think Crowely would like it for good. Or Crowely will kick the bucket before he has a chance to give it back. And we have Sam's and Dean's character devolopment. Dean was being an awesome brother, looking out for Sam, being honest, and most of all I'm glad he was so calm when Sam locked up him and then let him out. I guess he knew that getting into a fight with Sam wouldn't help a bit. I think he also sympathised with him and understood his want for revenge- damn that Brady, he had it coming. Dean's also ready to take new avenues, even if it means working with a demon to get the apocalypse overwith. It's crazy, but still he's considering all possibilites, and not letting Crowely boss him around :) And he was so bad-*** when facing those hell hounds! And Sam....I knew he was going to do something stupid, and there it is! It's scarey that he wants to sacrifice himself so bad, I think it's because of the guilt. He's harvesting alot of anger, true, especially towards himself, Lucifer, demons and the whole lot. But he's still trying to control it, so score for him. He let this anger loose there for a moment with Brady, but he kept himself under wrap- and I'm proud of him for that. In the end Dean let him have his revenge for Jessica- something like Dean killing yellow eyes in revenge for their dad. I love it how he didn't let what Brady said get to him, even though some of it must be true. Wow, I wonder what's next!!! Do you find this valuable? |

"How can they still be fighting horsemen in the season finale? So far it's taken an episode to kill one horseman. It's got to take at least an episode to trick Luci back into the pit. that's an extra 2 episodes the season doesn't have."***SPOILERS*** Yeah, I agree, GS, that they are really playing it tight with the end of this story line! All I can say is that, from the pics and info released about the last two eps, it looks like they will take on BOTH Pestilence and Death next week, and then Lucifer in the finale. I'm all for episodes that are a bit peripheral or bring something new to the main arc -- but three shows before the season finale?! Heck, even shows totally outside the arc -- in fact, the comic-relief episodes of SPN have been some of my favorites! But I have to say that in seasons 4 and 5, the show somehow lacks the tempo and continuity of the first three seasons. It jumps all over the place in terms of how characters feel and act, how focused they are on what's most important, and so on. And last night's episode was a prime example of that disconnectedness for me. Hey, I'm still VERY MUCH ADDICTED and LOVE this show! I'm just saying -- cuz I know I can vent here, among friends, and get some constructive criticism back! :D Do you find this valuable? |

1983sarah and fierce_huntress, you make some great points! I think I'll have to re-watch this ep too. My frustration, I think, came due to the fact that we're AT THE END, and this show seemed to take a slow detour away from the main fight, so to speak. Maybe that's a well-planned ploy -- hey, it sure got me fired up! LOL!The three things that hit me as WHOA!!! in this epi were A) Dean trusting a demon -- I'd have said it would NEVER happen! B) Sam considering even for a moment saying yes to Luci, and C) Bobby considering Crowley's offer. Those three things combined made my jaw drop -- talk about desperate measures! I tend to be a very trusting person IRL, so it goes against my nature to be suspicious (naive, I know, lol). But, I'm thinking all of these developments would be sweet for Crowley if he were, in fact, actually working for Luci (or had plans of his own) and wanted to have the Winchesters and Bobby in his pocket -- cuz they are just about there!!! SCARY! Do you find this valuable? |

" I think Crowley is working with Lucifer. Hmmm?I was actually thinking that Crowley is working for Death! Death seems to have it out for Bobby for some reason. When he brought back the zombies- he targeted Bobby. And now it's Bobby's soul that they need in order to find death? Why? I know he has to make "the wish" to locate death, but there has to be a reason why Crowley is targeting Bobby. And I'm worried that Sam is going to say "yes"! His little idea to trap lucifer seemed like foreshadowing for what he's going to do in the next couple of episodes. If you think about it, the angels and demons all say that both Sam and Dean say "yes" in the end, and there is nothing they can do to change that. That's not actually true though- when Zachariah brought Dean to the future, Sam was the only one who had said "yes". Dean never did... Do you find this valuable? |

I also tend to get fustrated with an episode, so I totally get you, sometimes you need to vent out about it ;) I do admit, it slowed down. How are they going to cram everything in the space of two episodes? And the A, B, C points are very drastic, true. I myself was thinking at first WTH??? But I guess now it's the apocalypse, like you said desperate times. It's so funny, I remember when back in season 1 and 2 I thought that killing ONE demon was a huge deal. And now our boys are dealing with demons or more powerful angels EVERY single episode! Crowely could be working for Lucifer. Or even if now he's not, he could turn. Interesting theory. Plus, there are always episodes that one likes less then others and since we're all different it just depends on what appeals to us. I agree, the thing that resonated most with me was seeing Dean go with Crowley, although you could sorta see it was against his better judgment but he felt he had to try. I hated seeing Sam even consider Luci, but I think that if Dean could be pulled out by Castiel from Hell, maybe Sam could be too, if he's doing this all for the right reasons and has Dean and Bobby to back him up. I totally loved the hell hound part, best thing I've never saw, as many others have commented. And now I'm reading spoilers that may answer some of my questions regarding the end of the episode. I was zonked out last night so I need to re-watch before I start debating plot points, but I must say that I very much enjoy Crowley. Not sure if I like him and I sure as hell am not ready to trust him, but he was interesting to watch. The way they captured Brady was good. I love how he found a way to do exactly what he promised by lying through his teeth.
