  • Is Dean in denial over the Mark of Cain? Is it still affecting him?
  • Can Dean and Sam find a way to remove the Mark safely?
  • Where is Rowena and what is she doing?
  • Is Crowley still missing Dean as his "bestie"?
  • Shouldn't Sam and Dean have realized that the cross was a key, and that the silverware wasn't real silver? Are they BOTH distracted and off their game because of recent events?

  • Ask Jeeves is the name of an internet search engine, and "Jeeves"is a generic name for a butler.
  • Dean mentions "Murphy's Law" - a well-known adage that says anything that can go wrong will go wrong. The origins of the saying are uncertain.
  • Dean mentions Tori Spelling and her husband Dean. Bobby had a secret crush on Tori Spelling.
  • "WASP" is an acronym for "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant". It is often meant as an insult to describe someone who comes from a privileged background.
  • "Sexting" refers to sending text messages containing sexual (or sexually suggestive) language.
  • The murder-mystery board game "Clue" is referenced several times in this episode. The weapons Dean uses (the wrench, candlestick, pipe, etc.) are murder weapons in the game. Dean mentions Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, and Wadsworth (the butler), who are also characters from the game.
  • "Mr. Belvedere is a 1980s era sitcom about a butler.
  • Dean references "Renfield", a deranged human who assisted the fictional count Dracula in procuring victims.
  • "Rizzoli and Isles" is a television detective drama.
  • "Doth protest too much" is from Shakespeare's play "Hamlet"; it generally means that if someone protests an accusation too strenuously, it may be because the accusation is true.
  • "Leopold and Loeb" were two wealthy college students who committed murder in 1924.
  • "Hiding in the attic like in the movie" refers to the movie and book (by V.C. Andrews) "Flowers in the attic". In the book, a grandmother locks her grandchildren in the attic for many years. The shapeshifter's name in this episode, Olivia, is also the name of the grandmother in the book. This is likely another nod to the book.
  • Dean calls Dash "Izod" (as a backhanded insult) referring to the upscale "preppy"clothing line Izod Lacoste.

Hey Guys,

Here's your chance to sound off with your hopes for "Ask Jeeves" and your thoughts about this episode after it airs. :)

After the tour de force of this week's episode, "Fan Fiction" - the landmark 200th episode - what will this one be like? It looks like there'll be some laughs but I guess there'll be some serious moments too.

Let us know what you think... And then tell us what you loved and what didn't you like so much about the whole episode...

SPNForever Discuss the Impala CGI drive away scene in ASK JEEVES 5 Nov 23 2014, 4:51 PM EST by spnfanforever

I thought the Impala CGI drive away at the end of FAN FICTION was great because it kind of looked like the the road backdrop used in the musical - the CGI fit nicely. The Impala CGI drive away at the end of ASK JEEVES was what? I'm asking becuase it looked like a mess to me. The Impala CGI scenes in Season 1 weren't perfect but it was Season 1 and they weren't that bad. The CGI at the end of ASK JEEVES left me asking what just happened? Was it amateur special effects night at SPN? Is the crew becoming lazy? What happened? We have been given so many real Impala drive away scenes and I'm sure the file footage must be extensive so help me understand..........
