"Family Matters" Answers Many Fan Questions

 We SPN fans have been anxious and sometimes a little dismayed at the turn of events in Season Six. But the seventh episode, "Family Matters," finally answered some of the most burning questions! OK, so it also brought up some new questions ... but, hey, baby steps.
- Crowley, as revealed earlier, is now King of Hell and capable of some Cas-worthy feats, like pulling Sam out of Hell and bringing back Samuel. Now we know.
- Apparently, though, he kept a little piece of Sam, namely his soul. And now that the truth has come out about that, he can use it as a bargaining chip to keep the Winchester boys in line.
- So what does Crowley want? He wants a little prime real estate called Purgatory. This is where souls go who are neither worthy to ascend to Heaven nor damned to Hell.
- It is thought that, since monsters' souls apparently are in Purgatory, their earth-bound forms know where to find it. That's why Crowley and his henchmen (which now includes the Campbells) are rounding up the Alphas.
Whew! Thanks for clearing that up, writers! But, let's see ... now we have to answer some new dilemmas ... like what does Crowley have on Samuel? Since it's all about family, I'm thinking it has something to do with Deanna, Mary, or even John. And how come Castiel isn't aware of all this going on? Or, if he is, why is he staying out of it? And, of course, how will Sam get his soul back?!
But, we're less than halfway into the season, so buckle your seatbelts and hold on tight!
