I thought this was a really great episode, very solid and very much hearkening back to earlier seasons, with the brothers working together. I must admit, I still squinch my eyes together before anything bad happens so I'm half watching, lol. So sad, I know. I loved the dynamic between Dean/Ben/Lisa, I thought it was great to see that desire for family again and that struggle to do what is right and there being such a gray area there...what IS right? Dean says he doesn't like who he is when he hunts, but I don't see him as bad when he hunts, just determined to kill the evil SOB's. Ben idolizes him totally and now that he knows about the supernatural elements in the world I think he's more apt to take that routine if Dean leaves, because it would be almost reprising the loss of Mary that the Winchesters experienced, although not in the manner of death or gender, but still, the loss of a parent to something supernatural, whether by choice or forced and the child's desire to fight back. As for the case itself, truly inspired. You hear all the time about people taking on characteristics of the person who's organ they received, so I loved that they took it to the haunted organ level, allowing the ghost to thus move and constantly exact her revenge, but it was a horrible but good lesson on the fact that revenge isn't all it's cracked up to be, because in the end the Impala crashing through the plate glassed window caused her sister to be killed. It was so sudden, too, that Dean and Sam couldn't even react. I do wonder as to why they didn't seem to see the ghost...I postulate that it was because it allowed only her sister to see her because her sister was dying...but if anyone saw or felt differently, please let me know. So good to have Sam being souled Sam again, too. Love seeing the brothers have each other's backs. Can't wait for Friday!
