Dean stands alone, in the middle of a small clearing, his face is smeared with mud and blood. He stares at the shadowy beasts just steps away, peering through the dark, their eyes bright red and for a moment, Dean couldnt help but think of how unrealistic this place looked, like something out of a movie. His muses are short lived as a growl erupts behind him and he turns on a dime, jamming the branch he held into the belly of beast he couldn't put a name to. It fell to the ground and as it took its last breath, it seemed to melt into the ground.

Dean turned from where the creature had fallen and took in the dark forest, looking for another attack, but as he stood, branch in hand, the eyes around him dimmed and the sounds of the beasts faded. He didnt move, didnt dare to. It was silent, but he knew he was being watched.

ive had a few ideas floating in my head of the way purgatory could be and i couldnt resist writing it down as fan fic! i know i have two other stories unfinished, and i promise to work on them some more soon, but this one is going to be fun, lots of lore and creatures to uncover here! i love this research!!

Title is from Metallica, as is my script, "Until It Sleeps" =D
