Like you, I would also like to see this large cast actually defined put to work. To me, the writers aren’t spending enough time developing each character; so at this point they’re just a Scooby gang to me, without every person having real value. At least it feels that way to me. Lata is clearly the researcher; but like JBB said, I don’t want every problem to be solved because Lata had the right book. Ada seems to be the Rowena character — enough mastery of witchcraft to be valuable. Carlos seems to just be comic relief at this point; Mary is the bossy, annoying leader, and John is the “new guy”. Sigh…I’d like to see a good reason for having a steady cast this large.
