This is based on the practice of listening to the Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon(1973 while watching The Wizard of Oz (1939). It is believed that the movie and the music synchronize, with numerous incidents of lyrics matching the action on the screen, creating something similar to a lengthy music video. Many of the viewers of what has been dubbed The Dark Side of the Rainbow watch it while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, making it a popular college event. Those associated with the band have denied that any synchronicity was intended. |
