CROWLEY SINKS DEEPER INTO HIS ADDICTION; NICOLE “SNOOKI” POLIZZI APPEARS IN A CAMEO ROLE — Dean is frustrated when he can’t reach Crowley, who has promised to find The First Blade. When Crowley finally calls Sam and Dean, he tells them he fell off the wagon and has been injecting human blood and needs their help. To make matters worse, he had a demon helping him find blood, but she sold him out and told Abaddon that he and the Winchesters were searching for The First Blade. The brothers need to find the blade before Abaddon does, so they enlist the help of a former member of the Men of Letters. Meanwhile, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi appears in a cameo role. |

- Dean (to Crowley) - “Look at you, you’re a mess. We were counting on you. You let us down. The man with all the mojo. Captain Evil. Are you just gonna let Hell go to hell?”
- Sam (to Crowley) - "The only reason you are alive is that we need your help to deal with Abaddon, cuz she is an even worse pile of crap than you are. And that is the extent of my concern for you."
- Magnus -“I am offering you the moon here, to be part of the greatest collection of all time. To be young forever. Let me teach you my secrets. Be my companion. I have to be honest with you, it has gotten lonely here over the years."
Dean - “When you were saying any of that, did it sound at all creepy?" - Crowley - "Who would’ve thunk it, eh Moose? You and me, same team, in the trenches. When this is over we can get matching tattoos.”

- The First Blade affected Dean powerfully - will itcontinue to affect him now Crowley has it?
- Is Crowley still reliant on human blood or is that addiction curbed for now?
- Where is Cas and what is he doing?
- What's happened to Malachi and his followers?
- What is Abaddon up to?
- What will happen to all the monsters in Magnus' collection, now that he isn't there to care for them and keep them fed? What will happen to the other artifacts and the lore he's collected?
- The Mark of Cain does work with the First Blade! It has side effects though:Dean was almost in a trance when he was holding it.
- Abaddon may have access now to the hidden information in Magnus' house, which might lead her to the MOL Bunker
- Crowley blames the Winchesters for getting him addicted to human blood and then holding him prisoner while his kingdom was stolen from him
- The episode's title is likely a reference to the 1982 futuristic, sci-fi film about a police officer who is hired to track down human clones
- "Not Moose" is Crowley's cell phone caller ID for Dean
- Crowley is shown watching Casablanca (1942) (considered one of the most romantic films ever) and reading Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott
- Kavan Smith, who played Magnus, previously played one of Doc Benton's victims (who entered an emergency room with his intestines hanging out) in season 3 (Time Is On My Side)
- Nicole Polizzi, who plays the crossroad demon in this episode is "Snooki" from the reality television show Jersey Shore (2009 - 2012)
- While in the bunker’s library, Crowley is looking at a vintage pornography magazine from the same collection that Dean keeps in his room
- Devlin references Jean Paul Sartre (905 - 1980), a famous French philosopher, author, and political activist
- When trying to explain his addiction, Crowley references Anthony Weiner, a New York politician who was prosecuted for using social media to distribute pornographic images of himself
- The crossroad demon says “What happens in hell stays in hell”, referencing the popular assertion that “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, which implies that infidelities and debauchery that happen in Las Vegas won't have consequences later
- Sam is correct. At over 36,000 feet below sea level, the Mariana trench in the Western Pacific Ocean is the deepest natural trench in the world
- Magnus admitted being fond of Henry Winchester, and described him as a “wild hair”, referring to someone who does impulsive, unexpected things
- "Heroin" - by The Velvet Underground and Nico (plays after Crowley kills Lola and injects himself with human blood)
