| Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the mysterious deaths of several men who apparently dropped dead of fright. They visit one of the victims in the morgue, and Dean becomes infected with the illness which starts as a general anxiety, then moves on to full-blown terror that eventually stops the heart. Sam and Bobby (Jim Beaver) must find the root of the disease before Dean dies and is sent back to Hell.... |

Dean: Sam, I'm not going to make a left hand turn into on coming traffic. I'm not suicidal. Did I just say that? That's kind of weird.

- The sheriff proclaims "Hell's Bells" as he exits his office. Hell's Bells is an old fashioned euphemism often used in place of profanity. It is also the title of one of AC/DC's best known songs which was played during the season 3 premiere recap.

A few days before Halloween, Sam and Dean investigate two mysterious deaths in a small town. Finding hex bags, they deduce a witch is sacrificing people to summon a dangerous demon named Samhain. Castiel arrives and tells them freeing Samhain will break a seal, so Castiel brought a specialist named Uriel to smite the entire town.
